Cannabis is NOT a Drug

Cannabis as NOT a Drug or Psychologically Dependence-Producing.

Understanding of the meaning attached to the word 'drug' and an appraisal of the clinically-defined action of alcohol upon the workings of the human mind, brain and body convey the inescapable fact that alcohol, as surely as heroin or crack-cocaine, is a drug.

These substances fulfil definitions of the word 'drug' by sharing in common the characteristics of the (use of) drugs, such as:
Tolerance syndrome (1)
Dependence (2)
Toxicity (3)
Mortality (4)
'Withdrawal' symptoms (5)
Abstinence syndrome (6)
And especially, addiction (7)

This is not to say that all people who use alcohol are drug addicts but long-term indulgence, frequent or heavy use, inevitably induce the adverse results in humans in varying degrees.

The phenomena associated with the use of substances establish whereby the term 'drug' becomes applicable. Most politicians and journalists and by far the larger pert of the population and wont semantically to confuse the issue by using the misleadingand inaccurate vernacular or popular phraseology to speak of "drink and drugs", as if in some way alcohol were not really a drug. The other drugs, opiates, etc., can also be taken orally, like 'drink' does this make them less a drug? When consumed in or as liquid, is heroin then "drink" as opposed to "drugs"? The answer, of course, is in the negative. Likewise, alcohol is nonetheless a drug and its use is drug-taking, whether 'polite' society faces this fact truthfully of not.

Legal Definition
According to the South African Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act No. 140 of 1992, Cannabis (dagga), the whole plant or any portion thereof, except dronabinol
[(-)-transdelta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol] is currently classed as an Undesirable Dependence-Producing Substance.
" undesirable dependence-producing substance"
means any substance or any plant from which a substance can be manufactured included in Part III of Schedule 2.
" drug"
means any dependence-producing substance, any dangerous dependence- producing substance or any undesirable dependence-producing substance;
Read that description very carefully. In order for Cannabis to be a 'DRUG', the Government must prove that Cannabis is
    a)       Undesirable – i.e. no positive and many negative qualities.
  b)    Dependence producing – i.e. the Natural Cannabis plant must INDUCE or produce the dependence. Cannabis must be the cause of the dependence.
Psychological’ dependence, so-called, on any non-addictive substance, is the manifestation of an individual’s pre-existing psychological derangement. Cannabis therefore, does not produce dependence.
How can a plant that is non-toxic, non-addictive, can do no harm or maltreat the ingestor in any way, while simultaneously providing medically proven benefits be considered ‘undesirable’?
It is illogical to the point of absurdity to ban any harmless pleasant substance from the whole population because a few deranged individuals are compelled to its overuse.

The government lied. So what is Cannabis then?
Cannabis is actually a plant, not a drug.

Remember, if there was any REAL danger, the government would be able to show it to you empirically (not hypothetically or by using their own, grant-paid 'scientists' (read prostitutes)). The fact that they cannot show you the harm empirically means they are deliberately lying to remove your freedoms which is a crime against humanity that the government must be held accountable for. We can never negotiate with the government until those who implemented and enforced these tyrannical laws are brought to justice.
