Sitting in Bulwer Park with the sun directly above his shoulder, Mr M.Yass of Durban announced on Sunday, March 21st, 2010 that the first International Weed World Cup would be held in South Africa.

"I am going to organise South Africas first International Durban Cannabis Cup. This is history in the making, an idea who's time has come."

Mr Yass is well known in Durban as he hosts the radical 'Puff in the Park' event at 2pm every Sunday at Bulwer Park in Durban where thousands gather, young and old alike to smoke Marijuana, meet new friends and relax outdoors away from the stresses of life the government causes.

Mr Yass is one of the few people in South Africa who can show you a legal document signed by the government to use, trade, possess and cultivate Cannabis for personal reasons in South Africa.

When asked about the police, Mr Yass spoke the truth.
"I need to make it very clear that this Cannabis Cup is not a criminal event in any way, shape or form. The intention of this event is to promote Human Rights law and the freedom of choice with Cannabis and to bring about radical political change by exposing the governments lies about Cannabis. Human Rights laws make it very clear; Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law.
This has not happened here in South Africa. The government are liars.

BOTH the Apartheid NP and ANC have engaged in the EXACT SAME failed War of Drugs. As a result of this moronic policy, THERE ARE MORE DRUGS ON THE STREET TODAY THEN AT ANY TIME IN HISTORY!

I am the only person who has been able to totally remove the criminal aspect out of Cannabis, and remove the money from organised crime (AKA government). Name me one government official, law, or court that has EVER been able to do that?" None, because they are following an agenda."

Mr Yass went on to say, "I have never seen a group of people with such fear for a government as the South Africans have. It's pathetic how they act.
If the government made a law banning left arms, most South Africans would rush to get their left arm cut off 'to comply with the new regulations you see.'
The very next day, the government would announce a new tax for right hands, and no one will say a word. NOTHING, except maybe a twitter...TWIT being the operative word."

"They will not stand up for anything they believe in except their sports team. The media does all their reasoning and thinking for them, and as long as 'experts' tell them what to believe, they will WITHOUT QUESTION. Mr Yass then went on to describe the event as being 32 of the best local and imported cannabis strains from Amsterdam battling it out to see who will be crowned as the first international winner and claim the title of 'Cannabis King' for the year.

"It will be just like the World cup soccer, only a billion times better, and a South African strain could win. There will be strains like Cheese from UK, Lowryder from Russia, Californian Orange and the famous Durban Poison."

Judges will be given a small sample of each strain to smoke and mark. "All I have spoken to are sure everyone will support this event as it is above board. We have nothing to hide, we are playing with a full deck. The government knows the human rights aspects of Cannabis prohibition, they cant answer them, and in fact ignored them."

"This first event will probably be small and limited to the first 100 judges who register. The Judges will get to experience the best cannabis in the land, as well as our very secret, exclusive location...ROOM 303"

"We will keep it simple for this year, with a prize for the best Indica, the best Sativa, the best Hybrid best local strain and the overall winner of the competition with the highest number of points."

Mr Yass said anyone interested in becoming a judge should contact him at the next Puff in the Park held every Sunday for details of the judges pass.

When asked about life after Durban Cannabis Cup and then plans for the coming year, Mr Yass said he would continue it import the best quality Cannabis on the planet and distribute it to the sick, the elderly, the young, and the healthy, those with cancer and AIDS, those going for a surf and those who the government have abandoned and betrayed as it is his and their human right to use, cultivate. possess and trade cannabis for personal reasons.
